Frequently Asked Questions

Can i cancel Daily dog walks and/pet sitting?

Cancellation requests can be made via phone, email, or text 

All clients receive one fully refundable cancellation per month (when you cancel by 7 AM the day of the walk). For any additional cancellations that month, you will be charged a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the walk, and cancellations need to be made 24hrs prior to service to not incur a charge. 

Last-minute cancellations (cancellations requested after 7am the day of the walk) incur a cancellation charge equal to the fee of the cancelled visit(s), up to $50.

Pet Sitting:

Cancellations can be make for pet sitting up to 14 days prior to service start date without any penalty. Cancellations made 2 weeks or less from the start of service is subject to paying 50% of the total invoice for the services scheduled. Cancellations made the day prior or day of service is subject to paying the full invoice total. These policies are in place for all overnight and live in service scheduled. For future bookings - 50% non refundable deposit will need to be paid to be scheduled on the calendar moving forward.

what happens if it's snowing?

Pampered Pups by Marissa will make all reasonable attempts to drive safely to your home and care for your pets as soon as possible in inclement weather. However, we strongly recommend that you give a house key to a trustworthy neighbor in case roads are closed, dangerous or impassable due to ice, snow, floods, etc. Pampered Pups by Marissa reserves the right to cancel visits if walkers are unable to safely reach your home. The service schedule may be changed, interrupted, altered or cancelled due to circumstances.

are my services from pampered pets by marissa insured and bonded?

Yes, all dog walkers and pet sitters are insured and bonded through kennel pro.

can i meet my walker before my service?

Yes, the dog walker/pet sitter that will be coming to your home to take care of your pet will come to the initial consultation. This is so you can meet them and we want to make sure your pet and the dog walker/pet sitters meet and get to spend some time together before service begins.


A consultation with Marissa and your pet’s caretaker is required prior to starting services. The consult is an opportunity for us to meet your pet and develop his or her routine. Consults are scheduled Monday through Friday after 5:30pm and Saturday and Sundays before 2:00pm, these are all subject to availability. 


Please have two copies of your house key and the paperwork that is available on the website or via email filled out and ready to go over, and please allow 30-45 minutes for the consult.

does the same walker come everytime?

Yes, the same dog walker/pet sitter will come each time to care for your pet. If they can’t make it, Marissa will cover them, if she can not, then we would set up a separate meeting for you and your pet to meet another dog walker/pet sitter.

when do i pay for the service(s)?

Payments are due at the first day of service each week for dog walking and the day you leave for pet sitting. If payment isn’t received within 2 days of start of service there will be a $5 per day late fee applied to the invoice until payment is made.

are you available on holidays?

Yes, for an additional charge. Please inquire within.
